Provincia d’origine di due grandi autori italiani del XX secolo, Luigi Pirandello
e Leonardo Sciascia, Agrigento è una provincia ricca di storia e cultura.
Tra le innumerevoli cose da vedere la spettacolare Valle dei Templi, gli scavi archeologici
di Eraclea Minoa e di Sant’Angelo Muxaro.
La provincia con “il più bel promontorio del mondo”, è
quella della Conca d’Oro, quella in cui visse Federico II con la sua Corte
e in cui si diffuse la Poetica della Scuola Siciliana, Palermo luogo dove tutto
è natura, arte, cultura e storia.
Catania è una provincia ricca di natura e cultura in cui poter ammirare il
maestoso paesaggio del Parco del Monte Etna, le ceramiche di Caltagirone, e il barocco
di Militello Val di Catania, e dove poter gustare i pistacchi di Bronte.
È uno dei centri turistici internazionali di maggiore rilievo della Sicilia
per il suo incantevole paesaggio naturale, le bellezze marine e i suoi monumenti
Cefalù viene citata per la prima volta dallo studioso Diodoro Siculo nel
396 a.C. ma la città si distingue per la sua impronta tipicamente medievale.
Partendo da piazza Garibaldi e proseguendo per corso Ruggero fino alla splendida
piazza del Duomo già si comincia a gustare l'atmosfera splendidamente intatta
di questa perla del mediterraneo.
Pantalica, la Valle d’Anapo, Palazzolo Acreide, Noto, Avola, Vindicari sono
soltanto alcuni dei luoghi da visitare in questa bellissima provincia. La città
conserva oggi tantissime testimonianze del passato visibili all’interno del
parco archeologico e nell’isola di Ortigia, nucleo originario della città.
Ciò che affascina di questa provincia è il ricchissimo patrimonio
archeologico (Cava d’Ispica, Monte Cassia, Camarina sono solo alcuni dei siti)
ed architettonico (Ragusa Ibla e Modica) Situata a sud dei Monti Iblei tra i corsi
dei fiumi Ippari ed Irminio, la città si distingue in due nuclei: Ragusa
Superiore e Ragusa Ibla.
Splendida provincia, conosciuta in tutto il mondo per i mosaici di Piazza Armerina
e per il lago di Pergusa, splendido luogo naturalistico in cui, secondo un antico
mito, Plutone rapì Proserpina.
La “terra dei castelli” è tra le province siciliane quella più
lontana dagli itinerari turistici tradizionali, ma è sicuramente un luogo
dove poter riscoprire e conoscere le tradizioni e la cultura del passato.
La provincia delle leggende e dei miti dell’eroe Ulisse, la provincia delle
isole Eolie. Situata sulla costa occidentale dello Stretto di Messina, il suo nome
più antico è Zancle (termine dorico siculo che significa falce ed
è riferito alla forma della penisola di San Ranieri).

DAY 1: THURSDAY: WELCOME TO ITALY
Arrive in Rome at any time. Optional transfer airport-hotel. There are no planned activities so check into our hotel and enjoy the city. Overnight.
DAY 2: FRIDAY (B): ROME
Breakfast. This morning you will discover the ancient Rome. We begin the guided tour with access to the Palatine hill with no line and discover the hill were Rome was founded. Then reach the Coliseum, the largest amphitheatre in the world, created to entertain ancient Roman citizens. Then, walk on the original path of ancient Rome in the Roman Forum, witness of the glorious past of the Roman Empire. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight.
DAY 3: SATURDAY (B): ROME
Breakfast. The Vatican City is not only the “hearth” of the Christendom, but also an art treasure. Take a guided tour to the Vatican Museums, admiring the Gallery of Tapestries and the Geographical Maps, before arriving at the famous Sistine Chapel. Then continue with an exclusive access to St. Peter’s Basilica, skipping long lines. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight.
DAY 4: SUNDAY (B, D): AMALFI COAST
Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the train station and continuation to Naples by train; transfer from Naples train station to Sorrento hotel by car. There are no planned activities so check into our hotel and enjoy the city. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: MONDAY (B, D): CAPRI AND ANACAPRI
Breakfast. When the red sun sinks at Capri... Today is a highlight on the program: by boat you will arrive at magical island of the sirens, which inspired and still inspires an endless number of artists. Visit of Anacapri with the possibility of the a visit at Villa San Michele. In Capri you can have a walk from the Piazza to the Gardens of August, which offer an unique view of the Faraglioni rocks and the rugged south cost of the island. In the afternoon free time to explore the beautiful island on your own. Possibility to visit the much-sung Blue Grotto (weather permitting). In the afternoon back to Sorrento for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: TUESDAY (B, D): AMALFI COAST
Breakfast. Free time for leisure or opt to book an optional excursion to the Amalfi coast.
The Amalfi coast is one of the most spectacular coastlines of Europe. The winding road, surrounded by rocks, offers breathtaking panoramic views. You will get fantastic and unforgettable impressions. We stop in Positano, another jewel of this coast, for a photo stop. Then continue on to Amalfi, the town, after which the coast is named. Once it was a rich and powerful maritime republic and now it represents the major tourist resort. In the cathedral are kept the tombs of the saint patron of Amalfi and also of St. Andrew of Scotland. Continuation to Ravello with the possibility to visit Villa Rufolo (Entry ticket extra). Otherwise you can spend your time walking or just to relax and enjoy your time in the area of Sorrento. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 7: WEDNESDAY (B, D): POMPEII - SALERNO - MESSINA
Breakfast. Departure from the hotel towards Pompeii. Pompeii is for it's visitors of the greatest fascination. After the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, Pompeii lay buried and forgotten for centuries under the lava. The excavations, which already begun in 18th century, still go on today. Our guide will lead you through some of the ancient streets, where you can see Baths, Forums and villas which were built by wealthy Romans in 80 BC. It is nearly unbelievable how good the fabulous frescoes that adorn the walls and floors of the villas have been preserved. Continuation to the port. Departure at about 14:00 o'clock to Sicily. Arrival at about 22 o'clock*. Transfer to hotel, cold dinner and overnight.*seats reserved (poltrona).
DAY 8: THURSDAY (B, D): ETNA - TAORMINA
Breakfast. In the morning excursion to Mt. Etna, the higest peak of Sicily and the most active volcano in Europe. The territory surrounding the volcano constitutes the “Park of Etna”, one of the largest protected areas in Italy: You will be astonished about the great variety of vegetation and landscapes that we will meet along the way before arriving at the “ Silvesti Craters” (about 1.900 mt). From here on you will have the option to continue the excursion by jeep. Stop at a local beekeeper to taste quality honey and to see how he is produced. In the afternoon visit of Taormina, situated on a rocky plateau on the slopes of the steeply dropping Monte Tauro, Possibility, to visit the Greek-Roman theatre, the 2nd largest classical theatre in Sicily. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 9: FRIDAY (B, D): TAORMINA BEACH - NOTO - SYRACUSE
Breakfast. Full day excursion to Noto and Syracuse. Noto, jewel of Sicilian Baroque, is in the UNESCO world heritage list for its beautiful baroque churches and "palazzi". The visit goes through the historical centre of the town and reaches the main monuments like the cathedral, the Santa Chiara church, Palazzo Ducezio and the Via Nicolaci, famous road for the yearly Infiorata-flower festival. On to Syracuse, one of the most interesting archaeological sites of the island. Guided tour at the Archeological Park, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Greek Theatre, the Ear of Dionysus, the Cave of the Cordari, Island of Ortigia, the most ancient nucleus of the city with its stunning cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Taormina area.
DAY 10: SATURDAY (B): TOUR OVER AFTER BREAKFAST
Breakfast is provided, but there are no group activities today. It's a breeze to reach Catania airport by taxi, easily arranged through our hotel. Your guide will help you with any post-tour planning, leaving you well prepared for the road ahead. Grazie e ciao!
