Agrigento

Provincia d’origine di due grandi autori italiani del XX secolo, Luigi Pirandello e Leonardo Sciascia, Agrigento è una provincia ricca di storia e cultura. Tra le innumerevoli cose da vedere la spettacolare Valle dei Templi, gli scavi archeologici di Eraclea Minoa e di Sant’Angelo Muxaro.

Palermo

La provincia con “il più bel promontorio del mondo”, è quella della Conca d’Oro, quella in cui visse Federico II con la sua Corte e in cui si diffuse la Poetica della Scuola Siciliana, Palermo luogo dove tutto è natura, arte, cultura e storia.

Catania

Catania è una provincia ricca di natura e cultura in cui poter ammirare il maestoso paesaggio del Parco del Monte Etna, le ceramiche di Caltagirone, e il barocco di Militello Val di Catania, e dove poter gustare i pistacchi di Bronte.

Taormina

È uno dei centri turistici internazionali di maggiore rilievo della Sicilia per il suo incantevole paesaggio naturale, le bellezze marine e i suoi monumenti storici.

Cefalù

Cefalù viene citata per la prima volta dallo studioso Diodoro Siculo nel 396 a.C. ma la città si distingue per la sua impronta tipicamente medievale. Partendo da piazza Garibaldi e proseguendo per corso Ruggero fino alla splendida piazza del Duomo già si comincia a gustare l'atmosfera splendidamente intatta di questa perla del mediterraneo.

Siracusa

Pantalica, la Valle d’Anapo, Palazzolo Acreide, Noto, Avola, Vindicari sono soltanto alcuni dei luoghi da visitare in questa bellissima provincia. La città conserva oggi tantissime testimonianze del passato visibili all’interno del parco archeologico e nell’isola di Ortigia, nucleo originario della città.

Ragusa

Ciò che affascina di questa provincia è il ricchissimo patrimonio archeologico (Cava d’Ispica, Monte Cassia, Camarina sono solo alcuni dei siti) ed architettonico (Ragusa Ibla e Modica) Situata a sud dei Monti Iblei tra i corsi dei fiumi Ippari ed Irminio, la città si distingue in due nuclei: Ragusa Superiore e Ragusa Ibla.

Enna

Splendida provincia, conosciuta in tutto il mondo per i mosaici di Piazza Armerina e per il lago di Pergusa, splendido luogo naturalistico in cui, secondo un antico mito, Plutone rapì Proserpina.

Caltanissetta

La “terra dei castelli” è tra le province siciliane quella più lontana dagli itinerari turistici tradizionali, ma è sicuramente un luogo dove poter riscoprire e conoscere le tradizioni e la cultura del passato.

Messina

La provincia delle leggende e dei miti dell’eroe Ulisse, la provincia delle isole Eolie. Situata sulla costa occidentale dello Stretto di Messina, il suo nome più antico è Zancle (termine dorico siculo che significa falce ed è riferito alla forma della penisola di San Ranieri).

1st DAY:  ARRIVAL          
Arrival with your own car at the hotel in Sorrento area (or rent a car ).  Overnight in the hotel.
 
2nd DAY: OPTIONAL CAPRI AND ANACAPRI
Breakfast in the hotel and optional excursion to Capri. Today is a highlight on the program: by boat you will arrive at island of the sirens, which inspired and still inspires an endless number of artists. Visit of Anacapri with the possibility of the a visit at Villa San Michele. In Capri you can have a walk from the Piazza to the Gardens of August, which offer an unique view of the Faraglioni rocks and the rugged south cost of the island. In the afternoon you can continue to explore the beautiful island. You can visit the much-sung Blue Grotto (weather permitting). In the afternoon back to Sorrento area. Overnight.
 
 3rd DAY: OPTIONAL AMALFI COAST
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for leisure or optional excursion to the Amalfi coast. he Amalfi coast is one of the most spectacular coastlines of Europe. The winding road, surrounded by rocks, offers breathtaking panoramic views. You will get fantastic and unforgettable impressions. You can stop in Positano, another jewel of this coast, for a photo stop. Then continue on to Amalfi, the town after which the coast is named. Once it was a rich and powerful maritime republic and now it represents the major tourist resort. In the cathedral are kept the tombs of the saint patron of Amalfi and also of St. Andrew of Scotland. Continuation to Ravello with the possibility to visit Villa Rufolo. Otherwise you can spend your time walking or just to relax and enjoy your time in the area of Sorrento. Overnight.
 
4th DAY: OPTIONAL POMPEI - SALERNO - MESSINA – TAORMINA AREA
Breakfast and optional departure from the hotel to visit Pompeii. After the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, Pompeii lay buried and forgotten for centuries under the lava. The excavations, which already begun in 18th century, still go on today. You can walk through some of the ancient streets, where you can see baths, forums and villas which were built by wealthy Romans in 80 BC. It is nearly unbelievable how good the fabulous frescoes that adorn the walls and floors of the villas have been preserved. On to the port of Salerno for departure at about 14:00 o'clock to Messina/Sicily seats reserved (chair). Arrival at about 22:00. Continuation to the hotel. Overnight in Taormina area.
 
 5th DAY: OPTIONAL ETNA - TAORMINA
Optional  excursion to Mt. Etna, the highest peak of Sicily and the most active volcano in Europe. The territory surrounding the volcano constitutes the “Park of Etna”, one of the largest protected areas in Italy: you will be astonished about the great variety of vegetation and landscapes that you will meet along the way before arriving at the “ Silvestri Craters” (about 1.900 mt). From here on you will have the option to continue the excursion by cableway and jeep up to 3.000 meters. In the afternoon visit of Taormina, situated on a rocky plateau on the slopes of the steeply dropping Monte Tauro. Visit the Greek-Roman theatre, the 2nd largest classical theatre in Sicily. Re-entry in hotel. Overnight in Taormina area.
 
6th DAY: OPTIONAL FREE TIME or EXCURSION AEOLIAN ISLANDS
Breakfast in the hotel and enjoy your free time. Relax, beach, chilling… just time for leisure. Overnight in hotel
 
7th DAY: OPTIONAL CATANIA & SYRACUSE
Breakfast in the hotel. We suggest a full day excursion. First stop in Catania, that lies on the slopes of the Etna, rich in baroque buildings; visit of the typical fish market and walking tour of the city centre. Proceed to Syracuse, one of the most interesting archaeological sites of the island, in which we will explore the historic centre in Ortigia Island, the most ancient nucleus of the city with its stunning cathedral. Continuation to the archaeological park of Syracuse including the Roman Amphitheatre, the Greek Theatre, the Ear of Dionysus. Back to the hotel. Overnight in hotel
 
8th DAY: OPTIONAL TAORMINA MARE
Breakfast and end of our services with the possibility to continue the holidays in Sicily or come back to Sorrento.
